Q. I am a natural blonde and i've been wanting to go bleach blonde...what color lowlights would look good with bleach blonde? My eyes are blue,I love my eyes and my hair too.I can't stop loving me I don't know if it is wright or wrong but I am proud of myself cause I have natural blonde hair and beautiful gorgeous blue eyes.

How do I go from platinum bleach blonde back to my normal dark brunette, at home?
Q. I have salon bleached platinum blonde hair and love it but my poor hair just cant take any more bleach! I'd like to go back to the deep chocolate brown I was born with but have no idea how to go about it without going back to the salon. I'd rather do it at home. Any suggestions

A. If you want to do it yourself, go to the local beauty supply and get color from there. DO NOT get one from a drug store. Depending on the color line you chose, the workers at the beauty supply will be able to direct you on how to use it. Also, when you go in, tell them what you're wanting to do, and ask them if they have any fillers available to you. If you don't use a filler, the brown will fade extremely quickly and you'll have to do it twice or more to get it to stick.

Q. I always go to the salon to get my hair done and bring in a picture and end up paying like 160 or more to get my hair done and it still is never the way i want it. Iv been there a million times and the still don't give me the bleach platinum blonde i want. Instead the always give me like a sandy blonde or like golden blonde.

A. If you put a brown over those highlights, the highlights should turn into a pretty caramel color on the dark brown..making it look like you've got natural highlights. Also, if you put a blonde over it..the same thing will happen. It's like if you take a white shirt & wash it with some black jeans..the shirt will turn gray because that color went over the white. A. You will need to lighten your hair with bleach before you can use your blonde dye. As long as your current hair color is natural it should lighten very easily, and IF it turns orange it is an easy fix, just go to your nearest beauty supply and ask them for a toner with a BLUE base and that will counteract the orange and give you a nice neutral blonde. DO NOT use sun in... Sun In contains metallic substances that in the future, if you had certain hair chemicals applied to your hair, it would literally disintegrate off.

A. I did the same thing years ago. whether you do it your self or have a professional do it the hair can come out kind of coral because it is so porous. I knew it would happen so I just left it and kept having my hair trimmed and layered,eventually my hair actually looked red and not coral, the red comes out good on the new growth.The best colors to use are Audacious red or titian red, those are both Wella brand,you can get them at a beauty supply store. Make sure the base color is either,red gold or red orange. The titain red is probably the better color for you,the base color is red,gold. This looks pretty grey as the blonde hair mixes in with my natural colour(theres still quite alot left). I want to go bleach blonde all over but can this be done without damaging the already highlighted hair even more?

A. There was too much difference in the your base color and the highlights. Shame, shame, shame on your stylist. I would retouch the highlights, add a few more and between the foils lighten your base. To be honest, I am not sure that your current stylist is the right person to do this for you. I would not go to a total bleach look however. The maintenance is killer, you have to be there every 4-6 weeks or it looks awful. If you try to just bleach this entire head out yourself you are going to be in a world of hurt and so is your hair. If you just had this done, insist on a refund and shop around for a better colorist who can do this job properly. Best of luck.

Q. I've always been blonde, and had bleach blonde highlights, recently i've dyed my hair a light blonde, but its starting to fade, and it's gone a dirty blonde colour, and i can't stand it. I was wondering if it is possible to have bleached highlights over the top of this?! please helppp!
